How to create WINDOWS BOOTABLE USB Drive using Rufus?

Steps in preparing Windows Bootable Flash Drive











Thing Need to Prepare:
1. Windows Disc Image (ISO file)
2. Rufus
3. Flash Drive

If you don't have yet a windows Disc Image (iso File) you must first to download it before continuing to the next step. Let's assume that you already have your windows disc image.

Click the Button below to Download RUFUS




Step 1. Plug in your Flash drive to your computer or laptop usb port.

Step 2. Run the app named RUFUS





Step 3. Click on Device on Rufus Window and select the drive you want to use to be the bootable drive.




Note: You may change partition scheme, cluster size and file system depends on what type of bootable you might want to make. The settings on the image above is the typical settings I usually used to create a windows bootable drive. There are other systems that requires different settings from the image above.


Step 4. Click the cd drive icon (please reffer to the image below) and select the windows image you allready downloaded. (browse where you save your iso file )











Step 6. Press START

Note: If rufus accomplished the task, you can see the bar with a color green and below is written DONE. But if it fails try to reformat your flash drive first and repeat the steps.

You may now try to boot your bootable drive..
